Abstract

Since ancient times, Siddha medicines have effectively treated a wide range of communicable and non-communicable diseases. In India, diabetes is rapidly becoming an epidemic with a significant increase in affected individuals. This study analyzes the anti-diabetic potential of the AthiyadhiKashayam using computational techniques. The major target enzyme Alpha-glucosidase, were docked against the active compounds in AthiyadhiKashayam using AutoDock tools. The strong interactions between these enzyme and the active compounds demonstrated the anti-diabetic efficacy of the kashayam. Therefore, the intake of this kashayam shows promise in treating Type II Diabetes Mellitus.
