Air pollution is a serious problem that can impact human health and climate change. This article is an attempt to provide a comprehensive overview of air pollution control strategies through a literature review. Jakarta is a city with poor air quality. Pollutants in Jakarta are generated by motor vehicles, industry, and power plants. Optimization strategies that can be carried out are the expansion of LEZ, increasing taxes on polluting vehicles, and subsidies for electric vehicles by considering economic and social factors. Sources of pollutants can include forest fires, industry, transportation, construction, and other anthropogenic activities carried out by human. Pollutant sources can be identified through several methods by making a diagram that is classified based on the gas and its source. Prof. Puji explained the basic principles of industrial management in order to control air quality by identifying the type of pollutants by monitoring, determining the level of pollution from emission sources, comparing with emission quality standards, monitoring air pollution control, and planning control strategies.
