Background Tooth loss significantly affects oral function, appearance, and overall well-being, particularly among elderly individuals. Complete dentures are a common solution for edentulism, but their effectiveness varies depending on factors such as fit, stability, and user adaptation. Understanding how these factors influence oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) is essential for improving prosthetic care. Objective This study aimed to assess the impact of complete denture use on OHRQoL among patients at Rehman College of Dentistry, considering demographic variables, denture-related experiences, and functional challenges. Methodology A cross-sectional study was conducted from February 2023 to February 2024, involving 90 complete denture wearers. Participants were selected from the outpatient department based on predefined inclusion criteria. Data collection included structured questionnaires and clinical examinations assessing denture stability, retention, and patient-reported satisfaction. Statistical analysis was performed to identify significant associations between demographic characteristics, denture-related factors, and OHRQoL scores. Results Conclusion Keywords The study revealed that age, gender, and socioeconomic status influenced denture satisfaction and overall quality of life. Functional limitations such as difficulty chewing and speaking were common, with many participants reporting discomfort due to poor denture fit. Psychological and social impacts were also significant, as some participants experienced self consciousness and social withdrawal. Regular denture maintenance and professional adjustments were associated with better OHRQoL outcomes. Complete dentures play a vital role in restoring oral function, but challenges such as discomfort, poor stability, and social concerns affect the quality of life of wearers. Regular dental check-ups, proper denture care, and patient education are essential in improving satisfaction and adaptation. Further research is needed to explore long-term effects and interventions for enhancing prosthetic care.
