PATTERNS OF PROTEIN IN THE FIFTH INSTAR LARVAE OF THE SILKWORM BOMBYX MORI (L).

Abstract

Mulberry, Morus alba (L) (Variety: Kokuso-27) and mulberry, Morus indica (L) (Variety: Kanva-2) for comparison with available of Morus indica (L). for the influence on the pattern of banding of the protein in mature fifth instar larvae of silkworm, Bombyx mori (L). variations were observed in number of bands and position of bands for particular types of treatments. Presence of twenty-nine bands and ten bands ,were observed by the proteins from the silkworm larvae recipient of the leaves of mulberry, Morus alba (Variety: Kokuso-27), Presence of two hundred fifty-one, seventy-four and eight bands, were observed by the proteins from the silkworm larvae recipient of the leaves of mulberry, Morus alba (Variety: Kanva-2). Presence of thirty-eight and eleven (KDa bands) were observed by the proteins from the silkworm larvae recipient of the leaves of mulberry, Morus alba.Treating of leaves of mulberry, Morus alba (L) of Variety: Kokuso-27 with vitamin C / B, or the honey of three types of honey (clover, cotton and citrus honey) at the different concentrations and feeding them to the silkworm larvae, new bands of the protein bands were appeared in present attempt. Vitamin C exerted to produce bands at fifty-six and forty-three KDa. The protein bands at two hundred ninety, thirty-five and seven KDa were appeared in the control and not in vitamin B. Presence of three hundred three, forty-nine, forty-four, thirty-seven and twenty one bands (KDa bands) were observed by the proteins from the silkworm larvae recipient of the leaves of mulberry treated with clover honey and were absent in the control group. Presence of one hundred sixty, fifty-two and thirteen bands (KDa bands) were observed by the proteins from the silkworm larvae recipient of the leaves of mulberry treated with cotton honey
