For this study the medicinal plant Manilkara hexandra is a member of sapotaceae family were selected. The primary goal of this study was to examine the phytochemical composition of the leaves of the selected plants. This plant was collected from Bhadradri Kothagudem district with the help of local people. For solvent extraction Soxhlet apparatus were used with two solvents namely Ethanolic-hexane and ethyl acetate. The solvent extractions were subjected to GC-MS, FTIR, and UV-VIS Spectroscopic techniques followed by standard protocols. Ethanolic-hexane leaf extract of Manilkara hexandra exhibited significant repellence and contact toxicity effects compared to the ethyl acetate extracts. The plant extracts contact toxicity and repellency were directly proportional to concentration and exposure time.
