Childhood vision loss has a detrimental influence on socio emotional skills and academic development. The major cause of vision impairment and the second largest cause of blindness worldwide is uncorrected refractive error. Although 1.8 billion people have access to ophthalmologists and optometrists and have affordable correction, approximately 500 million people, including 1.5 million children, live with an uncorrected refractive error, which causes blindness or impaired vision. Vision screen conducted in primary school children aged 6-12 years, quantitative research approach with descriptive research design used this study. Probability cluster sampling was used to select 180 samples, refractive error using snellen chart at distance 6m. If visual acuity is<6/9, it was considered as a defective vision. The primary school children, 43(23.9%) had present of refractive error. 41(22.8%) had myopia, 2(1.1%) had hypermetropia risk factors of refractive error 74 (41.1%) children had not played outside of home. 125 (69.5%) Children were watching TV at a distance of 4-7 feet, 52 (28.9%) had watched / Played Computer games 2-4 hours per day, 115(63.9%) Children had played mobile games for 2-4 hours and above, 34(18.9%) Children had slept for less Children in the night, 73(40.6%) Children had tube light at home for reading, 51(28.3%) Children had history of headache.
