Indian labour market is one of the largest labour market in the world. This labour market consist of the organised and the unorganised sectors of the economy. The organised sector is characterized by highly skilled and paid employees. But the unorganised sector consist of unskilled labours with minimum earnings. Similarly, another trend in the Indian labor market is the large gap between male and female participation in the worker population. This study analyse the major trend in Indian lemon market with the key elements like employment and wage rate. The main focus of the study is to analyse the pattern of male -female labour force with the variables like working age group of population, unemployment rate, the earnings of work age group etc. The study also give an insite into the rural urban disparities in the labour market.
