The purpose of the study was to determine how well conventional gypsum and nanogypsum particles work both separately and in combination with sugarcane bagasse to recover saline-sodic soil. A leaching experiment using column technology was used for this assessment, and soil samples from the EL Abbasa district of Egypt's EL Sharkia Province were used. The study's findings showed that, when compared to the control, all treatments—applied singly or in combination—showed a substantial decrease in electrical conductivity (EC), pH, and exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP), along with an increase in hydraulic conductivity (Ks). Notably, compared to individual applications, the combination treatments showed a higher level of effectiveness. Additionally, the investigation demonstrated that the nanogypsum particles are essential in lowering the salinity and sodicity. was discovered to improve the reclamation process with sugarcane bagasse, leading to more significant reductions in salinity and sodicity in saline-sodic soil. These results imply that strategic use of nanogypsum can greatly aid in soil reclamation efforts, especially when combined with sugarcane bagasse.
