Abstract

Background: The Index TB Guidelines (2016) recommend a 6 month duration of anti-tubercular treatment (ATT) for extrapulmonary tuberculosis, including TB lymphadenitis. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of standard 6-month ATT in patients with superficial TB lymphadenitis and identify factors influencing treatment outcomes. Methodology: This prospective observational study included 80 patients with TB lymphadenitis attending the Pulmonary Department at People's College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Bhopal, from November 2022 to April 2024. ATT was started as per the guidelines and the response to the treatment was observed. Sociodemographic and clinical data were collected.
