This research aims at examining how digital technologies are being applied in different fields of operation such as tourism, construction, energy and infrastructure management with the objective of increasing productivity and efficiency as well as minimize on incidents and accidents that may result from operation. By conducting a literature review as well as applying four complex algorithms including BIM-GIS integration for cost estimation, using LiDAR for assets management, implementing machine learning for maintenance prediction, and UAV-embedded sensors for system health condition monitoring, this study assesses the efficiency of the technologies. The results reveal significant improvements: While BIM integration with GIS increased the accuracy of pipeline asset management by 35%, LiDAR decreased construction plan errors by 40%, the accuracy for machine learning in predicting SCC in gas pipelines reached 92%, and UAV-embedded sensors building façade pathologies detection also rose to 89%. These results show how digitally disruptive initiatives can effectively enhance the irregular sectors’ traditional operation and underpin further advancement of technology solutions for sustainable and reliable management. Further research should be conducted in an effort to define and overcome the challenges associated with technology integration including standardization and training of the workforce to exploit the benefits associated with these technologies.
