A single crystal of γ-Glycine was grown using the low-temperature solution growth method with water as the solvent at ambient temperature. The unit cell parameters of the grown crystal were determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The functional groups present in the material were identified through FT-IR spectral studies. The UV-visible absorption analysis revealed a lower cut-off wavelength at 290 nm, making it transparent in the visible region.
