Numerous studies have explored mineral analysis in medicinal and horticultural plants to understand their nutritional composition and potential therapeutic properties. Present study investigated the minerals such as Na, K, Zn, Mg, Ca and Fe in two species of Alternanthera a leafy vegetables. The results show that Alternanthera philoxeroides exhibited higher concentration Calcium (563.22ppm), Potassium (560.46ppm), Magnesium (458.55ppm), Iron Alternanthera ficoidea (3.32ppm) and Zinc (0.76ppm) while contained higher concentration of Sodium content (1202.60ppm). Among two species Alternanthera philoxeroides showed enhanced mineral accumulation, suggesting its potential for use in nutraceutical and medicinal applications. The study highlights distinct advantages of both species as Alternanthera philoxeroides a potential source of essential nurtrients and Alternanthera ficoidea for saline agriculture.
