The article focuses on the situation of the agricultural sector in Colombia, with a specific focus on mango production and the challenges faced by farmers of the Agropecuaria y Ambiental Santa Rosa Association (ASAGRAT) in the municipality of Tocaima. The purpose of the research is to identify technological alternatives to address losses in agricultural production, particularly through the transformation of mango by-products, such as the skin and the kernel, to generate added value. To achieve this, the methodology of Technological Surveillance (TS) was employed, which involved defining objectives, identifying information sources, data searching, analysis, and validation. The article highlights global trends in research, dynamics of scientific publications related to the transformation of mango by-products, and the main research themes. Finally, the article provides an in-depth view of how research in this field can contribute as input for decision-making by farmers in reducing losses in agricultural production and utilizing mango by-products.
