This research paper presented a framework to support practitioners involved in total quality management who are implementing or engaging with halal practices in the sustainable tourism industry. The proposed framework applies to both internal and external output from previous studies and suggests the inclusion of a new variable, the halal certification, as a mediator to the Total Quality Management (TQM) programme
