The change in the approaches to the management of Internal medical diseases has been greatly enhanced by evidence-based practice, personalized treatment, and technology. This review entailed a summary of the fundamental aspects of internal medicine about the historical backdrop of the specialty as well as the current advancements in the discipline. It describes the fundamentals and application of EBM, discusses the effects of the great clinical trials, and outlines all aspects of clinical guideline productions. Concerning genomic specializations, pharmacogenomics, and lifestyle adaptations are also looked at. Also, some aspects that require extra discussion are non-drug therapies, including behavioral treatments and new surgical procedures alongside innovative technologies, including telemedicine and artificial intelligence. The opportunity to translate the evidence is taken to analyze the difficulties that exist while implementing the evidence in practice, focusing on the disparities in healthcare and scarcity of resources. While anticipating the future of Internal Medicine, such strains as Regenerative Medicine and Precision health are discussed.
