Background: Cesarean section (CS) is the most frequently performed surgical procedure in the world, with an estimated 23 million procedures per year. Regional anesthesia becomes the primary choice in the elective caesarean section. Hypotension and vomiting nausea are complications with fairly frequent incidents of spinal anesthesia. Aim: This study analyzed the influence of patients with leg wrapping on the incidence of nausea, vomiting during surgery and hemodynamic stability in patients who underwent CS under spinal anesthesia Material and Methods: This research is an analytical experimental study with the design of cross-sectional randomized controlled trial with 30 subjects undergoing elective CS procedure with spinal anesthesia technique at Airlangga University Hospital Surabaya in May to June 2024. Results: In a study including 30 subjects experiencing elective CS with spinal anesthesia, the incidence of intraoperative nausea and vomiting (6.7% vs 93.3%) in the leg wrapping group was significantly less than the non-leg wrapping group (p=0.001). Moreover, the amount of ephedrine used (4.67 ± 4.42 vs. 22.33 ± 4,58 mg) was lower in the leg wrapping group than in the non-leg wrapping group (p=0.001). Conclusion: There is an influence of leg wrapping on the occurrence of nausea, vomiting, and hemodynamic stability in patients undergoing CS surgery under spinal anesthesia.
