This study examines the impact of automation on workforce dynamics, exploring how technological advancements affect employment, job roles, and skills requirements. Utilizing a sample of 150 respondents, the research employs both quantitative and qualitative methods to provide a comprehensive analysis of the current trends and future projections in the workplace. The transformative impact of automation on workforce dynamics is multifaceted, affecting employment levels, skill requirements, and employee perceptions in various ways. The results of this study indicate that while automation has led to some job displacement, the majority of respondents perceive it as more of a job transformer, reshaping roles rather than eliminating them entirely. This suggests that automation may not necessarily reduce employment, but it does demand significant shifts in the types of skills required to remain relevant in the evolving job market. The descriptive analysis highlights the critical importance of acquiring new skills and ongoing training to keep pace with technological advancements. Employees express concern about skill obsolescence, indicating that continuous education and upskilling programs are essential for long-term career sustainability. Moreover, the one-way ANOVA results reveal a significant divergence in how automation is perceived across different job categories. While managerial roles tend to view automation more positively, operational and technical staff exhibit more apprehension, likely due to the perceived threat of job displacement or the increased need for technical skills. This study provides valuable insights, but ongoing research is needed to track the long-term effects of automation on various industries and roles as technology continues to evolve.
