There is a paucity of literature on micronutrient deficiencies and anaemia after classical Whipple pancreaticoduodenectomy. Post-surgical changes may hamper micronutrients absorption. This study was designed to determine the prevalence of micronutrient deficiencies and anaemia after surgery. Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted at the Department of General Surgery in a tertiary care centre in North India. The study period was from 1st January 2022 to 30th June 2023. We studied twenty-five eligible patients who underwent classical Whipple surgery at least 6 months before the study period. Results: The median age of the patients was 54 years (range 23-74 years). The male-to-female ratio was 16:9. Most participants (n=22,88%) were well nourished (SGA A). The majority of participants had anaemia, and there was a strong correlation between anaemia and serum Iron level (p= 0.045) and serum ferritin level (p= 0.023). Serum Iron and vitamin D deficiency were observed in 60% (n=15) and 96%(n=24) participants, respectively. No significant association was observed between SGA and micronutrients. Conclusion: Although a significant number of patients after classical Whipple pancreaticoduodenectomy were well nourished, the majority were prone to the development of anaemia and other micronutrient deficiencies like Iron and vitamin D. No association was observed between anaemia and micronutrients with SGA
