Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Congenital heart disease (CHD) is one of the most prevalent congenital abnormalities in children, affecting approximately 9 out of every 1000 live births. Advancements in cardiac catheterization, surgery, and intensive care have significantly reduced mortality rates in infants with complex CHD. However, these children are at a higher risk of neurodevelopmental delays, which affect their overall quality of life. This study aims to evaluate the prevalence of developmental delays in children with CHD using the Trivandrum Development Screening Chart (TDSC).
