Introduction: Childbirth is a critical phase in a woman's life that is often marked by various complications. In West Pasaman Regency, the incidence of complications during childbirth is still quite high which can result in maternal and infant morbidity and mortality. One effort to reduce this risk is to develop an electronic partograph innovation. The purpose of this study was to develop an electronic partograph that can be implemented by midwives in the field, especially in areas with limited resources. It is expected that this electronic partograph can be an effective solution in dealing with labor complications. Methods: This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental study design. The inclusion criteria in this study were midwives who worked in health facilities in West Pasaman Regency, while the exclusion criteria were midwives who were not directly involved in the labor process. Results: There is an effect of electronic partograph (p = 0.000) on detecting the occurrence of labor complications compared to the use of paper-based partograph, namely (p = 0.910), meaning that there is no relationship between paper-based partograph and detecting the occurrence of labor complications. Conclusion: Electronic partograph significantly improves the effectiveness of midwives in handling labor complications in West Pasaman Regency.
