To explore the medicinal uses of traditional plants of narwav forests with an assessment to preserve the ethnobotanical knowledge related with this area. Methods: The survey of field was conducted during a period of one year. Data were composed through a semi-structured questionnaire and discussions with native tribal people and traditional health practitioners inhibited in the side villages and in the study area. Results: The present study documented ethnobotanical uses of 48 plant species belonging to 39 families. Result revealed that most of the documented species were used medicinally and roots are mostly harvested for medicinal purposes (19 species). The most common method of remedy preparation was decoction/tea. Conclusions: The present research contributes significantly to the ethnobotanical knowledge, and represents a robust human-plant relation. There is an urgent need to further document indigenous uses of plants for future domestication.
