Abstract

The ethnobotanical study conducted in the Vijayanagara district of Karnataka, India, aimed to document the traditional knowledge of medicinal and veterinary plant usage among local pastoral communities. The region's diverse ecosystem, ranging from dry deciduous forests to grasslands, provides a rich repository of plant species that have been utilized for generations by the indigenous population.
