Abstract

Flavonoids are a diverse class of polyphenolic compounds that occur widely in naturally occurring resources like fruits, vegetables, and plant-derived drinks which have potential therapeutic use in the treatment of several life-threatening neurological disorders. This review highlightsthe role of different flavonoids in various neurodegenerative disordersthrough their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and neuroprotective effects. They seem to have potential stimulatory and inhibitory effects in the mechanism of disease to either stop or delay the progression of various neurological diseases, including Parkinson’s, Huntington's, Alzheimer’s, and Multiple Sclerosis.
