Abstract

Pediatric physiotherapy is a specialized field that addresses the unique needs of children with various health conditions. This review article provides a comprehensive overview of physiotherapy approaches and techniques for pediatric patients. It covers developmental considerations, common conditions requiring physiotherapy, assessment and evaluation techniques, therapeutic approaches, family-centered care, multidisciplinary collaboration, challenges and barriers, and recent advances in the field. By integrating current knowledge and research, this review aims to highlight the importance of specialized physiotherapy interventions in enhancing the quality of life for pediatric patients and their families. The review also discusses future directions and potential innovations in pediatric physiotherapy. The goal is to provide healthcare professionals with a detailed understanding of the complexities and nuances involved in pediatric physiotherapy to improve clinical practices and patient outcomes.
