Prevalence of schistosomiasis among primary school pupils in Guma LGA of Benue state

Abstract
A study was carried out to determine prevalence of Schistosomiasis among primary school pupils in Guma Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue State. Parasitological screening was carried out on 643 pupils, 455 (70.8%) males and 188 (29.2%) females. Out of the total figure, 352 tested positive [252 (55.4%) males and 100 (53.2%)] for the infection.
