Honey, a natural substance with potent medicinal properties, has been utilized for centuries in wound care and treatment. This paper aims to explore the advantages of honey dressing specifically in surgical settings. Through a review of relevant literature, this research paper examines the biochemical composition of honey, its antimicrobial properties, its role in promoting wound healing, and its application in surgical procedures. The findings suggest that honey dressing offers numerous benefits in surgery, including infection prevention, enhanced wound healing, reduced inflammation, and minimal scarring. Additionally, honey dressing presents a cost-effective and easily accessible alternative to conventional wound care products.
