Hypnosis has emerged as a transformative tool in medicine and dentistry, facilitating adaptation to new physical conditions and promoting the acceptance of corrective measures for harmful habits. This paper reviews the clinical applications of hypnosis, emphasizing its efficacy in pain management, anxiety reduction, and behavioral modification within dental practice. By inducing a state of heightened suggestibility, hypnosis not only alleviates discomfort during procedures but also fosters psychological readiness among patients, leading to improved treatment outcomes. Furthermore, the physiological mechanisms underlying hypnosis, including its influence on brainwave activity and immune responses, contribute to enhanced healing processes. This review underscores the necessity for integrating hypnosis into routine dental care, highlighting its potential to revolutionize patient-centered approaches in oral healthcare.
